She is a woman with many interests that fuel her passions. She is always trying to find ways to weave these passions together and create something uniquely hers. As a creative, one of her goals is to consistently work on enhancing the gifts and talents she’s been blessed with, in order to share it with others including her daughter.

As you may already know, this is a mother & daughter business. MĪKOHU was originally inspired by her daughter’s love for headbands so, she decided to put her sewing skills to the test. Being that she loves all things fashion, this was right up her alley.

Our name MĪKOHU in Hawaiian means Becoming. It is one of her favorite words! It reminds her of her mother & grandmother who both have a keen eye for detail, deals, & up-cycling.

All of our designs and creations are made here in Hawai’i with Aloha in the Seams. And "Aloha” looks good on everyone.
